Here it is the new CTMH 2011 Spring/Summer Idea Book!!! it's so cool and filled with awesome stamps, scrap booking supplies, embellishments and great artwork.

Day 25!!!!! HomeSpun Holiday

Merry Christmas to All!!!! can you believe Day 25 is here and feels over already. Well the gifts are torn open, coffee and dinner done, snuggle time with my girls web surffing for a little after Christmas sales.

Today was a wonderful celebration of family and friends but most important is the Birth of Jesus our Lord and Savior.

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
                                                              And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Day 21-22 HomeSpun Holiday

Getting close on the countdown of 25 Days til Christmas, and just like everyone out there I have been super busy shopping, creating those special gifts, crossing off our list, baking cookies, attending School Chorus Concerts. To mark another creative scrap off my list are these beauties, here is a satin peony flower pin!! These are so fun to make and it's awesome to see the end result.

love this white cabbage rose pin I created this morning with a hint of pink pearls in the center....
And yes I did share about a school chorus concert we attended tonight-our daughter Olivia pic below, she is a Senior this year (holding back the tears) we are not ready for this season to approach us so fast. She kept saying this is my last Christmas Concert, my heart just broke inside-as a mother we are not ready for our little birds to fly out of our nest as fast as they are ready. This momma bird ain't ready ( I know not good English) but this is hard and not going to get any better. But we are so blessed and happy to have Olivia as our daughter. We do have a freshmen daughter to, Emilee and boy I know for a fact it goes by fast, before your eyes once they are just a freshmen then next day we are buying graduations gifts. ok enough Peggy....
This Christmas is very special in our heart, home and hopefully will be a long lasting memory for all to enjoy...

Day 19-20 HomeSpun Holiday

Wow it's getting close-it's Day 19-20 of 25 Days til Christmas HomeSpun Holiday, and yes you read it right two days in one, I wasn't feeling to good yesterday. I can't believe in less than 4 days it's Christmas oh boy the time flies when there is so many to do things on our special list. Last night and this morning my mind kept drifting back to the olde days, memories of loved ones who have passed on and how special those holiday moments where that we spent with them. How our hearts break at this time of the season thinking of them and wishing they were here with us. So this got me a thinking why not create a little memory ornament to give to Lee's family, see we don't buy for the grown ups just the kids (this helps with the cost and our kids need a special gift from their loved ones). To share this memory with Lee's family is so special we all miss Lee's father, I came across this photo on the computer (but my good copier was down so I had to print pics on regular printer paper) which worked well. I made a page of wallet sizes photos printed them cut them out and glued them onto card stock and then to a piece of chipboard. Covered the backs with Mistletoe CTMH papers, added some eyelets for a place to put the hanger (a pipe cleaner). Dabbed some glue on the sides and added some chunky old fashion glitter, let dry. Then I decided it needed something more so I grabbed a couple flower punches and more Mistletoe paper and created a handmade flower with added bling. Whoola!!

The other day while out shopping for those special gifts I always keep a look out for  something to bling up or add some paper crafting too. At the dollar store I was browsing the candle section and saw those old time looking tall skinny candle and thought I could create those paper roses on this or add some fabric. I decided to use the Mistletoe Christmas papers again-I first measured around the candle to get the perfect fit, cut down matching papers, sanded and inked the edges. And I have been creating these awesome paper rolled roses that Tracey Mason shared with us on her blog. Added some Tattered Leaves die cuts and bowed punched outs and finished off with some pearls. Love how this came out.

I think I will keep this one for me...shhh

Day 18-HomeSpun Holiday

Day 18 of 25 Days til Christmas, was spent at work today we had a scrapbook store Holiday sale. Here is Debbie all decked out in her snowflake lighted garland...she cracked me up... and yes that coffee was for me, me, me, me, and me. Those poor girls I worked with today-I was high on caffeine all day.. with Christmas music playing we had a blast.
And here are two of a kind-Lynne and Kat, great friends and amazing artist. (do you see Lynne is wearing her pointseta she made out of linen and Alterations Tattered Leaves die.) it's so fabulous as a pin.

Speaking of fabulous I must give a shout out and a whooozer to Lynne, I came today with a few tags already stained with Walnut Ink, ready to be created on-I passed Lynne a snowflake and one of the tags and said have fun.

Breath taking Christmas tag ornament.
(which Lynne gave it to me what a fabulous gift to adorn my tree)!!
Ok let's see how good my memory is:
- stain your tags on a lined surface with wax paper or craft matt, spray with walnut ink and let soak up or pat with a paper towel to get desired look. Heat set or let dry completely-I love this technique for the tag feels like leather when your done.
not for sure if this is what Lynne did, so please don't shoot the messenger (hehehe).
- using the snowflake on the edge die, place on the bottom and cut out.
- embossed Merry Christmas in super fine black embossing powder.
-with rock candy distress crackle paint, I believe Lynne dabbed some on the upper corner across from the sentiment and also on the snowflakes on the bottom-this was so cool for the distress crackle reacted to the walnut ink which gave a rained on look. love it.
- swiped the edges of tag with a snowcap dabber.
- take the snowflake and cut off desired area to fit on the side of tag, and use the other piece in upper corner.
- added some ribbon and whoola!

Lynne you did an amazing job and I love it thanks for sharing with me.
I am thankful for good friends and a creating Day 18 of the Homespun Holiday was a great delight.

Day 17-HomeSpun Holiday

Day 17 of 25 Days til Christmas
Card Inspiration today, I created this cute little card as a add on for the gift I made for my mother-in-law. As I gazed at it's saying that I stamped on the front I couldn't help but think that I'm celebrating today because of you and the love of the Holidays. So Day 17 is a thank you to all who have been following me during this HomeSpun Holiday special. With the busy hustle and trying to fit everything in for a grand holiday. I know we all lose sight of the true meaning and reason for the season. Family and friends gathering around and for the birth of Jesus Christ.
Peace be with you, Peggy Lee

CTMH Christmas gift/new product haul

Day 15-16 HomeSpun Holiday

Day 15-16 of 25 Days til Christmas HomeSpun Holiday.
My days are starting to run together as the time for Christmas day approaches, my list get longer and more projects and gifts to make get longer. Not even the making of cookies and goodies to give.
All this to share one of my gifts I finished last night is this stationary box filled with cards for my mother-in-law. I am so glad it's done, and I love it so much (I kinda want to keep it) but I won't, it turned out really sweet and pretty.  I used Claudine Hellmuth Studio white paint and covered a paper mache box, then I selected my papers and Lee's mom loves old vintage story books (that we all read as a child) and this new paper line from Creative Imaginations IOD was perfect for this little box. I used multi-medium glue also by Claudine to adhere the papers to the box, added some pink trim around and created a little collage of papers on top, added this little white frame from Melissa Frances-created a little photo scene with the little girl and frog..how cute.
I took the same papers IOD and created these paper roses (which I have created alot, but this style is a little different-I learned this decorative edge from Tracey Mason a CTMH sista), please hop over and visit her blog and you will be blown away by a wedding cake she made out of papers and these roses! I added some more trims, punched out some pine bowes and finished off the roses with pearls. Last step I hot glued some wooden balls that I painted white to match for the bottom of the box for feet.

                                                          Shabby Chic goodness...
So this morning for Day 16-I am enjoying my hot cups of coffee and yes that's right cups!!! lol I started to remember last Christmas and how we enjoyed the family time together so I wanted to share a memory with you on this day...our girls sure know how to have fun fighting over the last of the candy canes...silly girls I had another whole box to put out....no they were really have fun...honest!Give me that Candy Cane!!! NO!!! UUU give me it!

Girls will be Girls!!

Day 13-14 HomeSpun Holiday

Day 13-14 of 25 Days til Christmas wow have flown right by, with making some Christmas gifts, school games and drama practices, working-have felt like Christmas is going to pass me by...but that is life at the Holidays. Remember as a child no care in the world you couldn't wait to get up out of bed and put on all your warm winter clothes and get outside with your sleds and friends and play all day. Well now as adult, make a pot of coffee and stay in my nice warm pj's and can't wait to stay inside all day and play with all my creative supplies. Boy times have changed, it has been snowing here and really starting to feel like Christmas. Here are some cookies that my husband made the other night and I thought oh my dear I have to start baking. I love to hand out homemade cookies for gifts, I love to package them in cute little goodie bags or boxes. Heartfelt gift is a gift of handmade TLC.
To show you about the snow fallen-here is a few pics of our Winter Wonderland, here in New Hampshire.
this one is of me driving down the school drive after dropping off my girls to their school....
my snow covered hydrangea bush!!! in my backyard simply beautiful.
Ok-I received my Christmas gift early, Lee and I always ask each other what we want and then we go out and get it...I wanted to order the new Close To My Heart product for January called Inspiration...I was like a little school girl squealing when the FedEx guy came to my door...now on to some play time.
stamp a homespun greeting this Holiday Season.

Day 12-HomeSpun Holiday

Day 12 of 25 Days til Christmas HomeSpun Holiday continues with a Tim Holtz theme. Since today marked his 12th tag I thought why not try to make a tag with all my Tim Holtz goodies.

I really love how it turned out, I first started with a shipping tag, covered it with Bo Bunny Christmas papers again, then ran it through my cuddle bug machine with tall pines texture fades of Tim's.
Brushed pineneedle distress ink over the tall pines embossed images, while it was still wet sprinkled on platinum embossing enamel. Then I grabbed my snowflake texture fades ran the tag through again-ponced versa mark ink on and sprinkled tinsel snowflake embossing powder from CTMH.
Dragged the edges of the tag in versa mark and also in platinum again to give it a vintage frosted affect. I loved that alot. I thought half way through oh I should be snapping pics of my steps, but I did get a couple.

here is the tag after running through the folders and embossing.
a close up of the little birdie sitting on some pines, I embossed him is red tinsel CTMH embossing powder and I couldn't resist the ticket stamp. The white on the pine bowes are snowcap dabber paint.

I used pealed paint and pineneedles distress inks to add shade to the pine bowes (the pine bowes are a punch, where I punched them out of two different colors of green card stock and inked the edges for depth) and to color the birdcage (which is a die cut from Tim Holtz's Alterations Collection. For a little bling I used Tim's Pearl Baugles. Added a pearl brad and trims. And there you have my take on Tim's 12 tags of Christmas. Have a great new start to your week, Peggy Lee.

Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge

Wow it's been to long since I played over at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog!!! This weeks challenge is A Holiday Greeting. I have already post this Christmas Box on my 25 Days til Christmas HomeSpun Holiday on for Day 10, for more details to scroll down.
I felt that this project fit right in with their theme of "A Holiday Greeting", I still must stress how much I love this Bo Bunny Christmas line of papers this year. I believe it's the vintage feel that moves me, any thing vintage-distress-pealed paint makes my heart sing. I hope you enjoy, please hop over to SSS blog and be amazed at the talent they have in their DT members and all the entries for the challenge will wow you.
#2 submission for SSS blog challenge-why not do two entries this time, and here is more of the Bo Bunny Christmas papers, a simple homespun greeting.
A Happy Holiday Greeting to you.
