Primitive Shabby Christmas Decorations-Handmade

I love my primitive shabby rag strip garland...
I created this garland a few years back to
hang on my tree...which is so pretty wrapped
around the tree with lights twinkling!

But this Christmas I decided to hang it on my curtain
rod on my living room window...it was a perfect
backdrop for the Christmas tree so loved it!

I found some rusty jingle bells on jute twine garland
at the Christmas Tree Shop a few years back and added them
to my Christmas decorations this year.

Hoping to share more of our Christmas Season with you all, soon but
right now we are up to our necks with boxes and packing for a move.
Crazy I know it to move during the Holidays Crazy I say!

But it is what it is-keep moving forward one box at a time, haha.

Thanks for stopping by,
Peggy Lee

Day 9-HomeSpun Holiday

Day 9 of 25 Days til Christmas HomeSpun Holiday!!! I must say I love getting and giving handmade heartfelt gifts...This little Bittersweet prim pillow and adorable prim heart ornament would be welcomed in a home for the Holiday Season for all to enjoy. The Stitchery was hand drawn and stitched by me. (I created this for my home a gift for me. shhhh it's good to create something you love and enjoy it).
The heart was so simple I just folded a piece of white paper in half and drew a half of a heart shape, cut it out and folded my material in half, pinning the paper heart still folded on the material and cut out... this way you save a step. Then I sewed and stuffed the pillow and heart, took some red felt two square shapes and cut out a spiral for the rolled flower, rolled and hot glued together, added some lace trim for the hanger. For the leaves I used Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die and hot glued onto the heart pillow and then glued the red rolled rose...and your done.

close up of the pillow front and back...I love to create primitive home decor items to admire around the home and to brighten some one's day.

Happy Homespun Holiday to you and your family & friends.

You will be amazed-so here is my entry for SSS Challenge and my twist on Wendy's style.
Since fall in upon us and it's coming fast here on the East Coast with cool crisp morning and chilly evenings-I knew I had to create something with fall vibrant colors....
With Wendy's stamps I created this little art piece to go in our living room for the fall (just need to find a frame to fit it in)
stamps I used were:
Funky Flower Art, Ticket To Art and Nature's Art
and the little pumpkins are Hero Arts.
these funky flowers are sooooo cute!!! and so primitive.
Love Tim Holtz bingo embossing folder-
Fall colors I used were: (distress inks)
Brushed Corduroy
Wild Honey
Mustard Seed
Tumbled Glass
Black Soot
Dried Marigold
Fired Brick

December Already!! a few days late

Wow December is here and fastly going already, it is now December 4th oh boy Christmas Day will be here before we know it. I am not ready!!!!! How about you? I still need to make my cards, and work on some homemade gifts, time is flying by me.....
Last night was Olde Tyme Christmas in Lancaster, NH we go every year! We love it, except for the bad weather but a little rain or snow doesn't stop anyone, it's so fun to walk up and down main street and seeing all the window displays and the shops have free food and hot drinks for everyone, the bank gives out hot apple crisp, there is a craft fair, sleigh rides, Santa of course and so much more. We always have a fun time, I tried to get my girls to take pictures with Frosty the Snowman but they are getting to old for that, which made me really sad but I understood. Here are a few pics of out "Olde Tyme Christmas" enjoy:

this was taken in the car driving into Lancaster.....
driving through the town, the next one the wind was blowing and I love how the decorations look like they are flying....

My favorite store in Lancaster, NH "Heart Hearth and Home" Primitive decor store......

My daughter Olivia made this poster for her bedroom walls, Olivia is very creative person, her favorite thing is to splash paint on stuff. Great work Livy!!
Thank you card I made for someone special, love the flowers, with the brads for centers.

This is what I am working on right now, while my studio room is a mess with the living room furniture is in my studio while we finish the walls. I love this fall decor, I am going to make some more. Still need to put some finishing touches on it. Can't wait to hang it up.
