Day 6-HomeSpun Holiday

Day 6 of 25 Days til Christmas!!!
Handmade cards are the best gift to give this holiday season, not are they fun to create they are fun to receive.
This happy holidays card was creative and love the colors (it's Basic Grey) winter's collection but I can't for the life of me remember what they called the line...sorry...I cut out the deer and cut two of the brown deer and popped him up for some detail, added stickles to the wreaths...so cute.
Love the daisy die cut from Stampin up-this card is very simple (take a 12x12 piece of card stock cut at 4 inches you can get three cards out of one sheet cutting at 4". Added a strip of Graphic 45 papers, distress inks, a sentiment and pearl brad to finish off the card...Homespun feel.
Love this one-Bo Bunny's new Christmas line, added some trims and card stock (red-I ran over my scissors edges to give a distress look and it feels like velvet. Cut out the holly from another paper and added a rub on, and trim...
Graphic 45 is one of my fav's love how these turned out-tree one is a pop out added some vintage photo. The next one I used up my scraps and cut strips and glued onto a card front added a sentiment and a flower with button...there you have it some Homespun handmade cards to share with family and friends.

Happy Holidays

Holidays are upon us and so I created this Happy Holidays card for Basic Grey Challenge blog for their challenge #28 "Paper Piecing".

When I saw this new paper line of Basic Grey "Jovial" that came in the scrapbooking store I knew I had to create for this challenge-I just love the fresh different colors for the holidays... Here is a side view of my paper piecing the reindeer on top of another deer to give it pop and depth.... with adding Stickles to the berries on the wreath finished the card off perfectly....
Supplies I used:
Basic Grey Papers: Jovial Nordic, Jovial Blizzard
Card Stock: Bazzill Kraft, Natural
CTMH Ink: Chocolate
Imaginisce Stamp: Cottage Christmas Happy Holidays
Ranger Stickles: Christmas Red, Aqua
Adhesive: Tombo, pop dots.

Creative Juices

My Creative Juices sure have been flowing lately, I have been busy cleaning and organizing my scrap space and trying to be brave on getting rid of stuff that I am not using. Boy that is a hard one, but I know someone else will be blessed to have my unwanted treasures. Here is a mini album I created about my daughter Emilee, she graduated from the 8th grade and so to honor her I did a mini with black and white photos, here Emilee and her sis Olivia sharing a moment at graduation, love the new fabric paper that Creative Imagination has out, thats what I used to stamp the word SISTERS on.
The cover of the mini: I used the new paper from Basic Grey "Cappella" sooo beautiful!!! with Prima ribbon, and Websterpages trims and so much more....

close up of Prima flowers, so little pretties.....

here is a Tag I made for a DT (I submitted), this little tag turned out so cute I must say!!

I used Graphic 45 new paper, Prima flowers, Tim Holtz die, inks, stickles, Websterpages trims, Hero Art stamp.....so much more.....I do love this tag-with a little feathers for a shabby chic touch...

Let your creative juices flow with a trip to your local scrapbook store and buy something new you don't have and combine it with your already stash....let the creativtiy begin...

Scrappin

Here is a new layout hot off the scrappin table!! "Sisters 2009" I love this photo of my two girls, Olivia and Emilee. No reason for this layout just to enjoy making a memory, and trying out some new creative ideas.
simple metal tag inked-flower is made from sheer ribbon folded in half and a running stitch through to pull up to give you any kind of look you want. I could of had many different looks, this simple ruffle one I loved. I used Glimmer Mist with a Tim Holtz mask-Oh my I love Tim's stuff!! Folded some paper, added some rubons and some chic embellishments. whoola...

Supplies I used are:
Basic Grey-wassail paper, opaline half pearls
Deja Views-timeless paper
My Minds Eye-rubons (My Laundry Line)
Melissa Frances-vintage architecture
Glimmer Mist-cranberry zing
Tim Holtz-distress inks: vintage photo, fried brick
Ribbon-sheer, textured, twine
Love my girls!! smiles and kisses
