GoodBye 2009-Happy New Year 2010!!

Bittersweet is all I can say of what 2009 was for me, struggles, pain, family and friends going through sickness, raising teenagers, going home to help take care of my mother which leaving mine behind that was truly hard for a mother, wife to do. With all the highs and lows 2009 was a good year a Season of Growing for me and learning new things, being creative and stretching my creative ability. Thank you to all who were a part in that, even you my blog friends with out your support and encouraging words of everyday comments can help to keep a person pressing forward. Thank You.....

So on with the "New Year" 2010
I created a little card for the main event: I made this card with the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month stamp set: True Friends (D1406) Twilight cardstock, ink., White cardstock, Notebook paper.

Creative Scraps scrappin the old year away and ringing in the New Year of 2010!!

this card was so fun to create-Lynne and I played with some cardboard and this is what I came up with a heart and flower(was a stamp) the circle flower was a circle punch. A little creativity and distress inks and stickles!! (Tim Holtz products) I will be making some Valentine Kits up and this will be one the cards!!! yummie eye candy!!

Welcome 2010!!!!!!!

Let's Create and Drink Coffee.............

Folded some paper, added some rubons and some chic embellishments. whoola...

Shabby Chic take on Fabric Roses

Shabby Chic/Tattered look:

Here is my take on making fabric roses: LOVE IT!! I made this muslin fabric rose necklace with Velvet ribbon. I have to say it was so simple thanks to Courtney Baker at http://courtbaker.blogspot.com I saw her video and have been making them since, (little secret, I was even making them in Church today with the bulletin paper)shh!! I wanted to learn how to make them for scrapbook layouts, then it struck me I make alot of stuff with muslin I love working with it-oh I could make a necklace. So here it is......

Sorry my pics are really bad I need a new camera and I took better pics on Emilee's new one, but can't upload them until we buy a cord, why don't all cords work for each other that would be to easy. Olivia made this one into a rose for her hair clip. so cute

Olivia wearing my muslin necklace she loves it so much, she won't give it back to me...
close up....

I have to say I am hooked and will be making many more-now to make a black and white photo of Olivia wearing the necklace and make a shabby chic layout!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Here is Olivia waiting to go to grammies for Christmas dinner-playing with her new toy Ipod Touch-so now that I know what they can do I want one!!!!! well really I would like the Iphone. So maybe for my birthday. we will see Next pic is Emilee showing off her gift from grammie Baker she made both the girl aprons and gave them really nice cookbooks.

Ok See Olivia's snowflake socks---ahhh, the girls were playing around and this is where Olivia ended up and I was at the dining room table creating so I couldn't resist.....
gingerbread house this one is Olivi'a (she was job shadowing at Emilee's school) and what a perfect day-Emilee's class made them. Emilee forgot hers at school. but they are cute...

late night creating/crafting trying to finish up some gifts. I have a studio/craft room but our dining room table is huge and the tv is in the same room, the girls and I watched movies and created together.....This Christmas went by way to fast for me, I didn't get to do the normal stuff I do (traditions) this year and the girls let me know it. I said next year I promise.........
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year..

Joy

Bringing you all some Christmas Joy!! this cute little card I made a while back, but I just love it!!
Made with Melissa Frances paper, Close To My Heart Rustic Stamps, inks. glitter, red stickles. I sewed the little tree on the card.
So much to finish up before Christmas Eve, little more shopping, I haven't even done any of my baking like I do. This Christmas has come so fast and money is short, we have been trying to make homemade gifts, plus we have cut way back on gifts.
Let's remember the Real reason for the Season: Jesus birth!!!!!

December Already!! a few days late

Wow December is here and fastly going already, it is now December 4th oh boy Christmas Day will be here before we know it. I am not ready!!!!! How about you? I still need to make my cards, and work on some homemade gifts, time is flying by me.....
Last night was Olde Tyme Christmas in Lancaster, NH we go every year! We love it, except for the bad weather but a little rain or snow doesn't stop anyone, it's so fun to walk up and down main street and seeing all the window displays and the shops have free food and hot drinks for everyone, the bank gives out hot apple crisp, there is a craft fair, sleigh rides, Santa of course and so much more. We always have a fun time, I tried to get my girls to take pictures with Frosty the Snowman but they are getting to old for that, which made me really sad but I understood. Here are a few pics of out "Olde Tyme Christmas" enjoy:

this was taken in the car driving into Lancaster.....
driving through the town, the next one the wind was blowing and I love how the decorations look like they are flying....

My favorite store in Lancaster, NH "Heart Hearth and Home" Primitive decor store......

Home from Retreat

My daughter Olivia and I are home from our Women's Retreat, we had such a wonderful, refreshing time. Here we are with our guest speaker Joanne Weever from Montana. She was very insightful and a blessing to my heart.
Now that my workshops are over and can get busy on the holidays and cleaning my studio room what a mess and let me just say the mess ended up through my kitchen and dining room. What a mess!! But it was worth it!! More to come.
