I bought a wood block from the dollar store from the home decor section.
I couldn't wait to bring it home to alter it!
I gathered my supplies, old book pages, glimmer mists, paint, stencil, gesso,
and modeling paste. Along with cheese cloth, wooden piece, and a few stamps.
Then the fun began....one thing with mixed media you have
many layers and much drying time!
"Explore" Wooden Block
I started with gluing down the old book pages, painting gesso
over the wooden block to cover the image that was already on the block.
Sprayed many layers of beautiful Tattered Angels glimmer mist and paint.
Another layer is using modeling paste and The Crafter's Worshop
Stencil Specimen #TCW454. Oh how I love this stencil!
Once dried another round of glimmer mists, paint layers....this process
is the bomb.
I covered the wooden piece with gesso, glimmer mist and
layers of embossing powder! LOVE IT
Thanks for stopping by, now to create another wooden block
art piece I will share that as well. Keep your eye out for round two!!!
Stop by Canvas Corp Brands website for the glimmer mist
and paints there are a ray of colors to choose from.
