Simon Says Stamp and Show Blog they are having another weekly challenge and it was to use "Ephemera". I had made these shipping tags with old book pages from a children's book and glue them on and inked the edges with distress inks. I knew I wanted to use them in my scrapbooking layout. I used Graphic 45 "LeRomantique Collection-Celebration & Die Cut Alphabet 2" as my starting point, to me Graphic 45 screams vintage!!!!
Tattered Floral Die Cuts to make my own flowers with chipboard, cut them out then ran them through a cuttle bug with Tim Holtz texture fades embossing folders and used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Turquoise Blue, Sunflower and Coffee Shop) to give the flowers some shine. Also I used the Tattered Leaves Die and then ran Distress ink Vintage Photo over the embossed image and the edges, to give the worn look. To give this layout a manly feel (with all the floral going on) I add Tim's Idea-ology metal lines (brads, foliage, hitches) to give depth and rustic feel. Love it!!! Who doesn't love metal on their layouts!!
