Here is the coolest challenge I have decided to take part in, what a fun creative way to practice my mixed media art skills (which I am a beginner). The other coolest part is the girl friends who came up with this challenge, girl friends I have been following for a long time now in blog land, facebook, scrapbook world.
Besure to jump over to their amazing blogs and be inpsired by their artwork, talent and love of teaching.

Make sure you save and print out this photo for the first challenge (challenge starts on the 15th of the month).
Here is my creative mixed media journal, created out of paper lunch bags and chipboard covers.
I trimmed off the bottoms of paper bags, stitched them on my sewing machine-used my bind-it-all.
The Chair
Floyd and Vyola you sit still for goodness sake, this will only take a second said Aunt Catherine.
But to Floyd it seemed like a life time...
With his little fingers gripping the edge of that uncomfortable smelly old chair.
Who said I wanted to sit with a bow flying high over my head. Soon
Vyola pushing her arm against Floyd's-I don't want to you to sit with me either.
Here is how it works if you want to play along:
■Vicki, Cat and Nathalie have made a one-year commitment to each other and picked twelve photos with Whatevers whom we will give a story.
■Every month – if possible always on the 15th – each of us will do a post with an individual story that goes along for us with the same photo.
■If you want you can play along and we will have the photo for you – just right click on it to safe it to download and show us your version of The Whatevers.
■There is no rules to the story itself- it can be funny, sad, uplifting, breathtaking- WHATEVER
■There is no rules on the length or the form of the story- it can be a short sentence, an essay, a poem or a soap opera – WHATEVER
■There is no rules on the artform you choose – it can be a scrapbook layout, an altered art project, an artjournal page – WHATEVER
■Here is a rule though: if you take the photo you have to link back to us andshow us your story.
■These pictures are from our personal stash and are for personal use for you only! If you want to use them for a publication whether a book or magazine in print or digital form please ask for permission!
■If you want to participate we’ll have a linky list for each Whatever Post.
■You can also join our The Whatevers -Facebook Page
Can't wait to see everyones entry over at Catherine's blog, there is a linky there for you to link up your artwork.
