In a few post back I had posted a few pictures of the first few days of January I had decided I was going to take a photo a day for 365 Days Project...but I wanted something more, something to push me out of my creative slump and outside my creative box. When Marion Smith had announced a challenge for a 31 Day Journal for January...on youtube and Artsy Addicts facebook page.
Marion had created was amazing designs on her website http://www.marionsmithdesigns.com/ for purchasing her downloads to create a journal with them,(you can also use what you have on hand) and I was hooked this was my very first hybrid scrapbooking adventure. Wow I couldn't believe how easy and fun it is to create with!
Just a few days into the journal project I decided this was so cool and what a great way to use up some scraps and products that I just can't part with already I HAVE BEEN HOARDING-who doesn't right.
Marion has decided to continue the mixed media scrapbooking monthly journal project...I am so thrilled Marion has amazing designs and style in creating, head over to her website and see all she offers to enlighten your creative journey.
...here is one page-I used transparencies sheet and stamped on it with Stazon ink, cut out a window and added some vintage trims and crepe paper and homemade silk flower.
this is a pocket page,
Marion made the cuties pockets for the journal-her eye for roses, birds, distress look amazing.
a special page for our 20 year Anniversary-I used a cello bag to place the rose bud and babies breath in and used glimmer mist on my vintage seam binding to create this pretty ribbon. I used vintage lace trim and buttons I had picked up in CA few years back....oh how I miss CA flea markets, yard sales and antique shops.
January 1st-new year, new hair cut, new creative adventure=me in my scrap room playing with all my yummies.
my cute little love bug, my daughter Emilee when she was about 3 1/2 and we were visiting my friend Susan's home in CA, and she this yellow old fashion hat and Emilee loved wearing it...she is so cute.
This Prima flower is soooo pretty with this vintage looking bingo card that Marion created.
Here are my two delights, Olivia and Emilee my sweet daughters...oh how time flies when you look and they are all grown up...hold on to those memories, that's why I am loving this journal project. making a memory
