Encouraging Word

Love this picture of my Bible, red cup of coffee and notebook, pen in hand to write down any encouraging word God has for me at any time.

Psalm 30

I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
O Lord, you brought me up from the grave, you spared me from going down into the pit.
Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name.
For his anger last only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken,"
O Lord, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
To you, O Lord, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me; O Lord, be my help.
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.

This passage has special meaning to me, I thought about it, cried, yelled out this passage many times in my life. God can turned my wailing into dancing, He has given me joy and my heart does sing for Him and I can not be silent. I thank God every time I remember where I came from...

Sunday Morning

Here it is Sunday morning, we are slowly getting up and ready for our church service, this weekend was graduation and chemfree party last night. This moma is tried, but happy yesterday is over. More later on that.
Love this song by Addison Road (chorus)

Everything rides on Hope now
everything rides on Faith somehow
so when the world has broken me down
your love sets me free...

This song speaks so deep to me and love her voice as well. We are almost ready to church so I will say good bye for now.

Morning Devotions

It's Sunday morning and we all are getting ready to go to church, we got to sleep in a little our church doesn't do Sunday School during the summer months because of peoples vacations. It is always nice to relax getting ready for church. I have time for God's Word.

Psalm 139: 1-4
Is one of my favorites:

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise,
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely,
O Lord.

Wow those words it home for me today, to know that God knows everything about me or what I am going to do. Makes me stop and think. How am I really living for the Lord, my family, my friends?

Just take a moment out of your day and praise Him, thank Him, breath Him in...

Daily Devotions

Sign of Spring, this is my daughters favorite flower "Tulip" thinking about spring time and flowers, gardens coming to life, trees budding , birds singing love songs to each other. Reminds me of being in God's Garden of life. You see we as Christians belong to the Garden of Hope, Faith, and Love. Life brings us season's to mold, shape and strengthen us as we grow in the Lord. The next time you are in your flower or vegetable garden , think on this has you turn up the soil to prepare it for the seeds, remember God turns up our heart, mind, and soul to prepare them for taking the seeds He wants to sow in us, to strengthen our walk, to help us heal from brokenness. To become more like Him.
Alicia Britt Chole says in her bible study book "Anonymous" --Recognize the riches in the uncelebrated seasons of your life....
God wants us to recognize the riches in our seasons of life, even the seasons that don't feel so good, that he is toiling our soil for great things. Deep in the roots are growing strong, and healthy through every trail we face, even good trails comfort us and shape us to push through the tough soil of life. How is your garden blooming?
