Day 4-5 of 12 Days of Christmas

Here is a little Christmas Card Catcher that I created for the holidays!!
So inspired by Hilary Kanwischer she created the cutest Christmas Catchall....hop on over to her blog she has many little inspiration and creative goodness to share with all. I couldn't wait to dive into making some of these. My first one I used some Close To My Heart scrapbooking papers Wonderland with Melissa Frances pretty little tinsel trim, added some little pretties!

This catcher I created using Melissa Frances scrapbooking papers "Frosty & Holly" with MF's tinsel, the tiny little snowmen on the paper was so cute, I decided to die cut a Tim Holtz "snowman" out and glitter him up to be a focal point on the front!!! Added some embellishments, the Merry Chrsitmas stamp is from TPC Studio "Timeless Chrsitmas".

                                                               Aren't they just cute!!!!

It's amazing how beautiful our four season here in New Hampshire can be, this what I woke up to last week, this photo just screams....Christmas and handmade crafting time, so snuggle in I did!
Hope you enjoy these days of creating....blog hopping and being inspired is a great way to expand your creative level and spirit but remember to give credit is do....Thanks to great blogs like Hilary's and Melissa's my creative heart has been blessed and filled with happiness.

Day 3 of 12 Days of Christmas

Day 3: Simple Christmas Card
My husband wanted me to create a simple Christmas card for one of his co-workers for their Christmas party...Well he told me what he wanted and said that will be easy...let's just say simple and easy was a big thought...I have been placing so much embellishments on my card fronts and trims...etc.
Making a simple sweet card was hard for me...my husband said come on two hours to create a card...I replied what do you know about making a card...ahahahahah (as he was taking forever in mind to wrap the gift he was giving....
I explained I just don't make a card I create artwork-oh boy what an evening and event just for a simple card...I started out with simple colors, he picked the paper and I started to cut and paste down...he wanted just the plain front of the card with the pattern paper...I said oh no that's to bare!!!! so on to trims, more trims...lace, doilies die cut-(Lee came in and said Peggy just do this and I said that is it!) Lee was like perfect...all this to say sometimes Simple and less is BEST!!!!

I do love how the card came out....(ahahaha I was like please let me add some glitter) Lee was like no way!!!! Memories!
My tip of the day is create something simple and from the heart! enjoy

Supplies:
Bazzil-card stock

12 Days of Christmas

Day 1 & Day 2 of My 12 Days of Christmas...

Day 1: Christmas Music Stamp Tree

Handmade Christmas Tree using Close To My Heart stamp set (D1477 Universal Background music sheet) and (CC1015 Holiday Wishes special stamp set).
I started out collecting some of my CTMH supplies, inks, stamps, glue, cardstock, glitter glue.
I used 4 different sizes cut out of white cardstock (squares @ 2 7/8, 2 1/2, 2, & 1 1/2) stamp with the music sheet  My Acrylix in Black ink.

Sponge the edges of the squares in Chocolate ink then started to roll the cardstock into a cone shape.
Using Liquid Glass glue I ran a bead of glue down onside of the cardstock rolled over onto other flap roll to hold together....

Now onto stamping the saying ontop of the tree....stamped on white cardstock piece trimmed to size desired, sponge and glue onto the stars. (on the cardboard stars, I glued to the top of the tree and then added a brad and gems, along with some glitter glue...
Here I glittered the tree after I placed it all together on the paper cone shape...all glued down with Liquid Glass.
Side view (it's starting to take shape-my daughter said it looked like a gaint pinecone, or turned over a bee hive)...she is so creative!!! Many possiblities with this cone shape project!
                                                                     Top vie of the tree....
hope you enjoyed this tutorial now onto

                               Day 2: Paper Cone Ornament

Made the same way just glued to a circle round and ribbon for a hanger .....
Be sure to come back for more 12 Days of Christmas and a Giveaway at the end on Day 25!!!

Supplies: all CTMH products, except the Silver Stickles from Ranger.
