All Things Tim!!!

That's right "All Things Tim"!!! is the challenge this week over at Simon Says Stamp and Show blog-we were to create with inspiration of Tim Holtz's products-so after receiving my winners goodies package this week from their first Weeks Challenge (that's right I won it)-I thought why not use what I received in the package (see last post).. This card is created with the new Perfect Pearls Mist, distress inks, gold paint dabber, stickles, flowers, tissue tape were all in the package...there was much more that I didn't use, but boy I sure had a blast creating this card....
I also used muslin for the backdrop and stamped and misted/inked it. It turned out really cute, I used Tim's caged bird die cut-and ran it through his embossing folder, added tissue tape wrapped around the bird-bling the wings with beads (that my friend Kat shared with me). Added some hardware and whoo looa!
I took the flowers that came in the package from Hero Arts and misted them with the Perfect Pearls Mist and added some distress inks-highlighted the card in gold paint. How fun this was to use what was in my package and create with my stash items, if you haven't tried SSS blog challenges yet "What are you waiting for?" BFF's Layout

This layout was super fun to create, one day a few of us friends got together for a scrapping good time, I wasn't sure what to create, then I pulled out these wallet size photos of Olivia and her bff's...

I knew this CTMH paper "NoteBook" Level 2 paper packet # X7102B (an oldie but goodie) was perfect...
I also had a stamp set that matched the paper called "Coffee Stain" # B1316

Also I couldn't resist I had to create some Tim Holtz tattered floral die, I used fabric (from an awesome friend Lynne ) and paper (that I can not reveal at this moment)
they make awesome flowers, which I glimmer misted with Tattered Angels

To give it an vintage distress feel
I used old dictionary paper, that I used Distress Inks: Vintage photo, and I used Claudine Hellmuth gel medium (which is the best glue in the world thanks to Lynne again for turning me on to it).
My inspiration for this layout came from a live ustream show that Marion Smith did for Prima .
Marion's tip was adding the old paper under neath and then rolling the top paper onto it's self and tearing here and there...which I love doing this...it's cool...
I am so happy I am finished now onto more crafting and getting my fingures inky!!!!

Thanks to the BFF's for having a exciting time out at the park and snapping pics for me to create with....

MPTS AUGUST CHALLENGE

Let the Challenge begin!!!! It is time for the DT reveal of the August Challenge over at http://morepaperthanshoes.blogspot.com/

Theme: "Vintage Paris"

Supplies to use: fabric, metal, acrylic paint
Surface: any
Technique: crackle

This challenge was just that "a challenge" for me it sure did push me out of my creative box into WOW!!!
My supplies for Paris was very limited but I did find awesome paper from Graphic 45 and work it up with gel med, paint, glimmer mist, distress inks! Stamped on muslin, added crackle paint to give the canvas a weathered feel and did 5 layers of Utee on the tower, let dry and started to crack it...made a rolled satin black flower-with burned edges, added button and little roses....whoola

close up of the satin flower, cut circles out of fabric, holding it over a candle (very careful-have a bowl of water next to you in case the fabric catches on fire) singed the edges lightly and stack together sew a small stitch in and pull to winkle the flower add a button and you have your own flower.

Be sure to check out the other DT members blogs, and visit MPTS blog.
