Weekend Note

Hi everyone, can't believe it's Saturday already, yesterday was suppose to be a Free-Time Friday post, let's just say I didn't have a free time at all. Woke up ran to Wally World (short for Walmart) took Emilee out to lunch, ran back home to change my clothes. I had a funeral for a great man and dear family member. The funeral was beautiful, sad, bittersweet and celebration. Rodney White will be greatly missed.
Then came home to change clothes (my where soaking wet) oh warm yesterday loving it! Had to run to Lancaster a town over visited a dear friend. Picked up some planting stuff for today. Ran out of time to go buy some flowers to plant. Doing that today. Ran back home to find my daughter Olivia back from Whale Tales water park to be red like a lobster, ouch! then got supper, then Lee and I back in the car to take girls to youth group and we had our date night.
Our date night was shopping at Home Depot for the living room walls. Thank God they are getting done, of course we shopped around dreaming of what we could do next!! Lee is not much of a dreamer, so he mostly listened and nodded.
So there was my Not so Free-time Friday post, today is going to be a busy Saturday, Lee had men's breakfast, I need to food shop, buy some flowers for the house, pay bills, wash clothes, it never stops!!!!!!!!!!
I also realized that next weekend it 4th of July, and my daughter Emilee's 13th birthday she was born on 3rd. I am not ready, but this mom works great under pressure.
Much to get done and much to share next time. Enjoy your weekend. Make a memory..

Happy Birthday to me (art gift I made)

I decided I needed some wall art for my studio, so with it being my birthday I decided to create some inspiration for myself. Which I am always creating for someone else, never me. This was really fun, no layout in mind I just grabbed some chipboard, paint, paper, embellishments, rubons and had fun. I think it came out cute and love the colors this will get me into the creative mood.
enjoy the pics sorry if they are bad I did them late last night.

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Happy Birthday to my bro-baby in the family by 6 minutes(our joke is that he said he was sick of listening to me so he shoved me out-his legs was wrapped around my hips we had one heartbeat.) love ya pete..
That's right today is my birthday, and I can say I am 39 years old and holding for true. Today has been kind of slow sunny day, just spent doing housework, laying out with my daughter getting some sun, cleaning my scrapbook/studio. Which isn't done yet, because I want to play I think I am going to create a little something for me to mark this birthday.

you see I celebrate this day with my twin brother Peter who lives in Maine, he to is holding for another year.

Thanks to everyone who sent me a card, called on the phone and commented a birthday wish on facebook. I have been blessed.

Lee's Birthday Pics/summer vac Day 1

The girls and I decided on Strawberry shortcake made with homemade buttery bisquics for Lee's dessert. (he already had his fav at work boston cream pie)
Lee and Olivia manning the grill, we had to pull the grill onto the front porch incase the thunderstorm happened. Of course not one rain drop, if we would have left it out back it would of poured.

Lee in is glory, what is it about men and fire!! Lee love charcoal, I prefer to eat off of charcoal, but I myself am getting a gas grill this summer so when Lee isn't home I can still cookout. I am no good with charcoal.

Lee opening one of his gifts, the girls and I got him a movie, chocolate, poster of guitars. He had a great day he wasn't expected this.
So here is a sneak peak of some of our first day of summer vaca-pictures more to come-enjoy.

Summer Vacation Day 1-Happy Birthday Lee

I am so happy today is really the facial day for summer vacation for my girls and me too. And also it's my mans birthday. Happy Birthday Lee, hope you enjoyed all the goodies and yummies you got. Home and at work!!
Today started kind of late for me, waking up for the second time at 8:30 was late for me, Olivia was already up and at the computer (facebook sometimes drive me crazy). As I stumbled to the coffee pot, I started to think oh I better get the lawn mowed before it rains, all day and still the sky looks so dark gray everyone is expecting a huge thunderstorm well as I write this at 11pm still no rain. I could have finished the front lawn ohhhhhh.
We cleaned around the house, I unpacked some boxes you see in two weeks will mark our first year in our new home. wow where did the time go, I am trying to decide on what color to paint my kitchen.? I am stumped.
The girls and I ran to Wally world, to buy some birthday stuff for dad, and strawberries and coolwhip for dessert. We had a cookout for Lee's birthday supper it was great tasting.
I have decided this summer I am going to try to take pictures of our vacation everyday and scrapbook a summer 2009 little book. This is a challenge to myself if you would like to join me, come on.
I am going to post layout every week, Sundays of the weeks photo and scrapbook layout I did, this will help me scrapbook and journal at the same time.
I am up to it, how about you.

Can't believe myself today it must be PMS or something, here is a picture of my girls emilee and olivia, they are at a youth group lock-in event and I am picking them up in a few hours. But I can't seem to stop missing them today. Maybe because I know in as little as 6 years they are going to be on their own and facing the world. Where ever the world takes them I know they will long for home. Miss you guys and see ya soon. love mom

Encouraging Word

Love this picture of my Bible, red cup of coffee and notebook, pen in hand to write down any encouraging word God has for me at any time.

Psalm 30

I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
O Lord, you brought me up from the grave, you spared me from going down into the pit.
Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name.
For his anger last only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken,"
O Lord, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
To you, O Lord, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me; O Lord, be my help.
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.

This passage has special meaning to me, I thought about it, cried, yelled out this passage many times in my life. God can turned my wailing into dancing, He has given me joy and my heart does sing for Him and I can not be silent. I thank God every time I remember where I came from...

Next recycle challenge

this past weekend I bought one of these cat post for our new kitten, and when I went to recycle it, my brain said what can I make with this stay tune this week to see what I came up with.

Sunday Morning

Here it is Sunday morning, we are slowly getting up and ready for our church service, this weekend was graduation and chemfree party last night. This moma is tried, but happy yesterday is over. More later on that.
Love this song by Addison Road (chorus)

Everything rides on Hope now
everything rides on Faith somehow
so when the world has broken me down
your love sets me free...

This song speaks so deep to me and love her voice as well. We are almost ready to church so I will say good bye for now.
